La Tache 1994 from Domaine de la Romanee Conti is in a beautiful place at the moment. In the bouquet fine sweet red fruit ,cherries and strawberries,spiced with sous-bois, peony rose, allspice and cinnamon. On the palate quite delicate ripe pinot fruit,the oak is a bit forward, but the transparency is fine with a nice expression of terroir. A very delicate and focused effort for the vintage … a really enjoyable glass of La Tache.
